Amazon plans to make the next wave of its limited U.S. FBA virtual multipack pilot available to customers on November 11, 2026. Its current help page says the listings were scheduled for creation by October 28, so selected brand owners can review them before they go on sale.
Review the quantity, images and price of any selected offers now. Amazon charges fulfillment fees per single unit and requires changes through the dedicated multipack editor.
Start with the SKU
A virtual multipack combines units of the same ASIN and uses existing single-pack inventory. In Manage All Inventory, look for SKUs starting with VMP_. Amazon selects ASINs for the pilot automatically, and sellers cannot manually enroll.
Distribution center case packs also appear under the Virtual Multipacks label, but their SKUs begin with VMP_DC_. These offers represent cases of inventory already sent to FBA. Amazon also schedules their customer availability for November 11.
Check the full prefix when reviewing quantities and replenishment. Neither format requires sellers to create new retail packaging for the pilot. Amazon’s guidance says to continue sending the inventory used by that format as usual.
Review pricing before adding a discount
Both formats incur fulfillment fees per single unit. Before setting a discount, calculate the offer’s margin after fulfillment and referral fees, product costs and any promotion. The Seller Squash product-profit guide explains the costs to include.
Case packs need a separate Business-price check. Amazon bases the default case price on the single-pack B2C price multiplied by quantity. If the single unit has a discounted Business Price, the case can cost a business buyer more per unit until you edit it.
Use the dedicated editor
Amazon directs sellers to Edit Virtual Multipack for both formats. Use it to review discounts, titles, descriptions and images. Pack sizes cannot be changed. Amazon warns that edits through other pages, templates or APIs can break these listings.
You can preview and change images in that editor before they appear in Manage All Inventory on November 11. Later changes to a single-pack image do not automatically carry over, so review the multipack separately when replacing product photography.
Check that the pictured quantity matches the title and compare the selling price with your own costs. If you decide to delete an offer, note that Amazon says listings deleted during these pilots cannot be reactivated.
Sources and verification
Checked November 2, 2026, at 10:42 a.m. EST against Amazon Seller Central’s Virtual multipacks and Distribution center case packs help pages. Both describe limited U.S. pilots and retain November 11 customer-availability dates. Neither displays an original publication date. The October 28 creation schedule is not proof that an individual listing was created successfully. We did not test seller accounts or confirm individual selection. Both documents come from Amazon.
